So many of us believe what we were taught: hard work and dedication will be rewarded. That’s true. But how much you will be rewarded, how often you will be rewarded, and whether your reward is what you truly deserve, depends on negotiation. Not argument, not haggling, and not threats, for they are not negotiation. True negotiation is being valuable, visible and “voluble.” Accept it or reject it, but it’s true, and always will be.
