Cinco de Mayo

Cinco de Mayo literally translates from Spanish as “Fifth Day of May.” It is a holiday traditionally celebrated by those of Mexican heritage with friends and family to commemorate a battle in 1862 in which a small number of Mexican troops miraculously triumphed over a vast invading French army. It is a celebration of civil rights and social justice.
It is not, as many believe, the Independence Day of Mexico, which is September 16th.
We wish all of our Friends who celebrate Cinco de Mayo a happy, hearty and healthy holiday.
