Sklover’s Thoughts for the Work Week

Sklover’s Thoughts for the Work Week

“Optimism is a strategy for making a better future. Unless you believe that the future can be better, you are unlikely to step up and take responsibility for making it so.”

– Noam Chomsky

At work, in career, and in all of life, you need to look forward, and look upward. Even in the dark, know that things will get lighter. Maybe not this afternoon, but just maybe this evening, tomorrow, or next week. But, sooner or later, the sun will come out. Just imagining your world a better one going forward, and you’ll find that just doing so makes it ever more probable that it will. Each morning, when I wake, I say to myself, “Want a good life? Do some good things,” and it really does makes my today, tomorrow and next year better. Please keep that in mind, and give it a try.

This precious reminder of the power of positivity was sent to us by Marianna G. of Killeen, Texas. Thank you, Marianna, for this lightness in difficult times, this warmth on cold days.
