Sklover’s Thought for the Work Week

Sklover’s Thought for the Work Week

“Never hesitate to charge hell with a bucket of water.”

– Liz Carpenter
(Aide to President Lyndon Johnson)

Yup . . . sometimes it just takes near-crazy dedication, zeal, and enthusiasm to achieve your goals, even the biggest ones. People tell you that your dreams “Can’t be done”? Well, that’s a great reason to just do it. We plan, we prepare, we consider, so often too much. There’s no substitute for enthusiasm, and there’s nothing that beats “wild-eyed” enthusiasm. Remember: The world belongs to the bold!!

This wonderful quote was contributed by our long-time Blog Family Member Gail F, who kindly encouraged our continued efforts with “Keep up the great work, Mr. Sklover and crew!” Thanks a zillion, Gail, for both the wise words and the kind words. You made our week! If you would like to submit a proverb, quote or thought, please submit it to us at
