Sklover’s Thought for the Work Week

Sklover’s Thought for the Work Week

“When you stop doing things for fun, you might as well be dead.”

– Ernest Hemingway

Don’t let the starkness – or darkness – of this quote hide its living message: Don’t forget to have some fun. Don’t ever stop doing things simply for the fun of it. Make sure your days include some laughter, a bit of mirth, a few moments of inner enjoyment. It’s good for your health, it’s good for those around you, and it’s good for us all. Difficulties and serious challenges abound . . . but there’s nothing more positive and uplifting than a little bit of fun. Even the Dalai Lama has shared his view that the ultimate purpose of life is to enjoy it.

This great quote was contributed by our long-time Blog Member David S., who saw it in the window of a bar outside Grand Central Station in New York City. (We noticed that David failed to mention whether he was going into, or out of, the bar. Ha Ha!!) Thanks go out to you, David.
