Sklover’s Thoughts for the Work Week

Sklover’s Thoughts for the Work Week

“When a great moment knocks on the door of your life, it is often no louder than the beating of your heart, and it is so very easy to miss it.”

– Boris Pasternak

So true, and so very true in work and career. True story: A client was seated on an airplane next to someone who ended up helping him get an interview that had eluded him for years, and he got the job, too. Be open to others, and they will be open to you. Be curious about others, and they will be curious about you. Most importantly, be interested in others, and they will be interested in you. And, thus, you can help keep “opportunity knocking” on your door, if only you keep your ears open and sensitive to its oh-so faint sound.
