“I’m not offended by all the dumb blonde jokes because I know that I’m not dumb. I also know I’m not blonde.”

Whether at work or elsewhere, it sure is easier to be “just you.” And, in turn, it sure is easier to be “just you” if you know who “you” are. As examples, what’s most important to you? What do you think is wrong or right, healthy or unhealthy, moral or immoral, kind or cruel? Are your work life and your personal life in line with each other, and with what’s important to you? I’ve been called everything from a terrorist to a virus, and a Nazi, but that’s okay . . . I’m not concerned. I’m pretty darned comfortable with who I am. It takes time, experiences, and introspection, too. But the comfort you get from being comfortable “in your own skin” and in what you see “in the mirror” are among the greatest comforts of all.
This quote was submitted by blog family member Therese R. of Victorville, California, as she shares “not that far from Pasadena,” and also as she shares “a proud natural blonde, too.” Really fun quote, Therese, and much appreciated.
