“People do not decide to become extraordinary. They decide to accomplish extraordinary things.”
– Sir Edmund Hillary

At this time, at work so many things seem so very “fluid,” meaning capable of significant change, profound redefinition or even loss by the new creations of others. Are there any industries immune from disappearing? That might be a great problem, pose a great risk, or present an outstanding opportunity. Sir Edmund Hillary led the first expedition to climb Mount Everest. He could have fallen off that great mountain, but instead he conquered it. Sure, when a mountain appears in your midst, if you attempt to climb it, you might fall down, but like Sir Edmund Hillary, you may also go down in history as a true pioneer. The next time you face a “mountain” in your midst, consider approaching it as a challenge, with courage and determination. What you accomplish is to a large degree a matter of what you decide to accomplish. It’s really that simple.
This quote almost makes me dizzy thinking about climbing that high. Thank you, Martin B. of Saginaw, Michigan, the city known for many wonderful things, including being the birthplace of music-master Stevie Wonder. Appreciate the quote, Martin!
