“The ache for home lives in all of us. The safe place where we can go, as we are, and not be questioned.”

The idea of “home” brings to mind warmth, comfort, safety, peace. Those of us who have such a place in our lives surely are deeply blessed. Can we even imagine having “no direction home?” There are millions among us, though, who don’t have a home, some in our midst, some across the seas, many of whom have never had a home. Can we really imagine living without that feeling of “home?” Consider making, however small, a contribution of that feeling to those groups who do their best to do just that, each day. Two groups I know who do a great job at that are (1) International Rescue Committee [www.rescue.org] and (2) World Central Kitchen [www.wck.org], both of which are doing just that seven days a week in and around Ukraine. Go ahead, give a buck or ten. It will make you just a bit more appreciative of that unique blessing in your life called “home.”
This wonderful quote was contributed to us by Neil T. of Pendleton, Oregon, according to Neil the home of Oregon’s best rodeos. Neil mentioned that Pendleton is his home, has always been his home, and will always be, too. Stay well, Neil!
