“Don’t spend your precious time asking ‘Why isn’t the world a better place?’ It will only be time wasted. The question to ask is ‘How can I make it better?’ To that there is an answer.”

How right he is. No matter what you may be working on or thinking about, there’s no upside to wallowing in the downside. Instead, just do your best to keep things positive. Pursue the good in your life, seek the better in your relations with others, and become your best in all you are and all you do. Maintaining your focus on the good inside you and around you will also attract others with that same positive focus. Before you know it, your own life will be better, and before long, so will a larger part of the world in which you live. If each of us swept the street in front of our homes, the world would be a cleaner place. And if each of us planted a tree this summer, before long the shade would cool us all. For now, you can simply start with humming a tune while straightening your desk. That’s all it takes.
