“When eating fruit, remember the one who planted the tree.”

At work, someone – probably a long time ago – had an idea or a dream of a business, an organization or an assembly of people who contributed to the benefit or welfare of humankind, and by doing so, their own. They “planted” that tree, “fertilized” it over time, and watered it, too. Today, it may provide the means to support many – perhaps hundreds of thousands – of employees. Somehow it worked. The same goes for families; two people committed loyalty to each other, and with passage of time and generations, despite many difficult and challenging times, somehow, that family grew. All to your and our and my benefit today. Bear it in mind: how lucky you, yours and we all are that others looked ahead.
Give thanks this Thanksgiving, and every day after that. And don’t stop. It will add sweetness to your life.
