“Faith, it does not make things easy. Rather, it makes them possible.”
– Bible Verse Luke 1:37

What is the source of your greatest inner strength? That which gets you through the darkest nights, and gives you the persistence you need to climb the greatest mountains in your path? It is your faith. Your innermost belief that you can, and you will, overcome whatever challenge you face. Family and friends may be of assistance and comfort, but when your “shoe leather hits the trail,” it is a matter of only your faith.
Many of us have faced rather dire times, and yet carried on, sustained by our faith. Refugees of war and oppression, victims of floods and earthquakes, colleagues facing career crisis, and those who have experienced ill health, both physical and emotional. Just as my mother, grandmother and Great Aunt did when fleeing to this country, penniless and without protection.
Faith will get you where you want or need to go, like nothing else will, on that you can count. As this Bible verse reminds us, faith does not make difficult things easy, but it does make them possible. If only you maintain your faith, each and every day, and through nights, too. Whatever the obstacle, it won’t be easy, but it will be possible.
I first came upon this Bible verse in the course of rehab experiences. It is very important for all, especially those facing seemingly insurmountable obstacles in their life’s path.
