To have Faith is to have Wings.”

Faith is an elusive thing. You can’t touch it, but you can feel it. Daily travails can test faith’s limits, yet at the same time strengthen them, too. It does not come easily, or to all. Faith grows through difficult times, yet carries you through them, too. Faith is there for you, and with you, in times of both joy and pain. Some say that without doubts, there can be no faith.

At work and in career, to have faith is to have wings. To have wings is to have confidence. To have confidence is to have success. To have success enables you to share your faith, and its many gifts, with others. It is said that faith is certainly your greatest blessing, and your truest burden, too.

This quote was shared with me many years ago by someone who was a mentor to me. It recently came to mind when I walked by his photo on my office wall. Though he passed many years ago, he still lives within me, and I am certain, within others he both taught and inspired with his keen mind, warm heart, sharp wit, and deep faith.
