“A clear conscience is a sure sign of a bad memory.”
– Mark Twain
In life, and especially in work life, none of us is pure, perfect or without fault. Bearing that in mind and heart enables us to see past the imperfections of others, and through to their more honorable efforts and contributions. That doesn’t mean to accept dishonesty, dishonor or disloyalty when it appears in our midst, but instead it permits us to distinguish merely human from truly evil in others and in ourselves.
This quote was submitted by Blythe of New Castle, Pennsylvania. Thanks, Blythe, for this truly memorable quote. I haven’t stopped thinking of it since it arrived in my email box last month.
