Sklover’s Thoughts for the Work Week

Sklover’s Thoughts for the Work Week

“In some Native languages the term for plants translates to ‘those who take care of us.’”

– Robin Wall Kimmerer

Want peace? Consider plants. It is without question that they are a great source of serenity to so many. As you nurture them, so do they nurture you. I often tell people that plants are the best way for me to “find myself as I lose myself.” When you are limited to life indoors, they have a way of “taking you away.” Can’t go out and buy one? . . . no worries: there are now many online plant stores that deliver to your door. At minimal cost, it’s a great source of peace in a very challenging and stressful time. And, is it a mere coincidence that so many of our best medicines are derived from healing herbs?

This quote was sent to us by Melanie J, from Florence, South Carolina, often called the “Magic City.” Our hats off to you, Melanie; keep that magic alive.
