Sklover’s Thoughts for the Work Week

Sklover’s Thoughts for the Work Week

“They can cut all the flowers but they can’t stop the spring.”

– Pablo Neruda

In so many ways, these past few months have been difficult ones. At work, at home, in each of our lives, and the lives of our loved ones. That’s for sure.

But, no matter what, as Stevie Wonder sang, “The rosebuds know they bloom in early May.” That won’t stop, no person or virus can stop that, no matter what.

The “normal” we have come to know will, in time, give rise to a “new normal,” which will then be our “normal” going forward. We will come to expect it, to adapt to it, to live with it . . . to even enjoy it. Such “new normals” have happened time, and time again, over the centuries and millennia. And each time – and on time – the spring will come again.

The transition will be difficult, unsettling and anxiety-provoking. But, rest assured that nothing can stop the spring. “The rosebuds know they bloom in early May.”

This wonderful quote was sent to us by Denise P. of Nashville, Tennessee. Thank you, sincerely, Denise, for this great reminder that nothing can stop the spring.
