Sklover’s Thoughts for the Work Week

Sklover’s Thoughts for the Work Week

“The only time we lose is when we give up.”

– Cesar Chavez

Boy, oh, boy . . . things sure seem “complicated” at work, at home, and in our daily lives. So many issues to address, so little understanding of what is going to be next week, next month, next year, no guidelines or “rules” to follow.

All that said, we cannot give up. Day by day, step by step, moment by moment, we need to do what needs to be done, and follow what we know to be the right things to do. Then we go to bed, get up the next day, and then do the same thing tomorrow. It can be numbing, it can be exhausting, it can be discouraging. No matter . . . “The only time we lose is when we give up.”

This quote was sent to us by Rachelle T., a Human Resources executive at a Chicago-based retailer that is struggling with its own day-to-day decisions. Yet, Rachelle reports, she and her staff continue, and don’t give up. Thanks, Rachelle, for the great quote.
