“The worst disease in the world is not AIDS, or leprosy, or cancer. The worst disease in the world is to be nobody to anybody.”
– Mother Teresa
There are so many people in the world who feel that they are nobody to anybody. That they are not heard. That they are not cared for. That they are not protected. That their lives just don’t matter. That feeling leads not only to sadness, but also to great anger, too. The oddest thing is that they don’t recognize each other when they see each other on the other side of the argument, the other side of the neighborhood, the other side of the border, the other side of the politics. They can’t recognize that they each suffer so greatly from the exact same disease.
